A gravitational pull.

Mid morning in London . Angus orders a coffee. ' The font ' studies the menu and orders a Cucumber, Elderflower and Wasabi Smoothie. This is made by a young man with a shaved head wearing what appears to be a pair of black pyjamas. '' Delicious '' says ' the font '. Angus sticks with coffee.

To the Harrods pet store. Sophie and Bob already beginning to exert a gravitational pull on our shopping patterns. While we're there the breeder phones. She wants to know the names we've given the two pups so that she can start using them . With a French accent Sophie and Bob come out sounding  altogether more exotic - Sofeee and Bubb.

A late lunch in a county town. No Cucumber, Elderflower and Wasabi Smoothies on the menu here.

  1. What? No wheatgrass?

I like the name Bubb. Jack says it's a fine name too!

  2. Oh and Jack was wondering if you would pick him up a few of the Mungo & Maud cashmere pullovers while you were shopping. One in each color would be nice. :). He says one can never have too many cashmere pullovers!

  3. The Aberdonian influence is clearly beginning to tell. I'm, thinking don't go spending too much on a collar, surely you remember how fast they grow!
Cheers, Gail (still trying to work out which county town).

  4. We're with Gail, it's probably better to have the pup to gauge the right size for a pup.

  5. Far too easy to splurge out for the wee ones - know all too well :)
County town looks very much like beautiful Winchester - they love PONs there too!

  6. To me, whatever it may be, it always sounds 'more exotic' when it's in French!

  7. I love the collars, such a wide selection, I know you chose something cute for your new babies.
Maybe you should consider buying something nice for the mother too, perhaps a gift basket with comb, brush and some fancy dog shampoo, dog treats etc, after all, had it not been for her, we would not have Sophie and Bob.
I am so happy for both you and the Font.
I loved the church photo, which one is it?
I think I will try a cucumber apple celery smoothie today.

  8. I am beyond thrilled that you have found new companions. Can't wait to read about Sophie and Bob's adventures. Have a great time in California, you certainly have something wonderful to come home too. We live in Iowa and have a vacation home in the California desert (Palm Springs) any chance you will be in that area the end of April? Would love to hook up and exchange puppy-tales.

Congratulations on getting your very new pons. This is a question but why did you name them Sophie and Bob?

  10. Well, living in France, of course Sophie and Bob will need to be well-dressed! I can't wait to see pictures of them enjoying life in the village!

Wasabi smoothies? Just say no, again!

You have made my heart ever so happy with the addition of Sophie and Bob. My life will be filled with new stories of how they are faring with their growth, training, antics, etc. What wonderful news. We all have been waiting to hear it. Much happiness to you all.

  12. Puppies - what fun - and what a different lifestyle you'll have for a few months/years!! I think 12 weeks is the perfect age to get a pup!!

  14. When they are older, will you train them to wear doggy backpack for when you go to market day?

  15. Wish I had the Font's fearless spirit in trying exotic and unusual food and drink.

  16. Elderflower liquer by itself...in a lovely bottle by Germain...is luscious. Not sure what cucumber adds to it.

So it's Sophie and Bob. No naming contest for the lucky pups?

Wirey females have a reputation for being a bit bossy...perhaps a few of our pals can give shy Sophie some pointers.

Enjoy your visit with the cost centers!

  17. Sophie and Bob are such good doggy names. Bob especially, short and sweet, easy for the pup to learn. The Font's smoothie sounds wonderful to me, not too much Wasabi though, please!

    Have a good trip home!

  19. Sofeee and Bubb sound very Inspector Clouseau-ish. Peter Sellers must be smiling!

  20. Sofee was funny but the Bubb part had me chuckling. Really Angus, Bubb? I am just a tad curious...why Bob uhh, Bubb?

  21. I've never even heard of that kind of smoothie. Now I'm wondering what one tastes like and thinking I need to go find a place that sells them.

I've seen the pictures of your new pups. They're sooooooo cute!

    Miss Wilf still!
