BIG smile! Monty is just so cool and laid back behind the wheel, I think I would feel less nervous as a passenger with him than I do with my daughter! Perhaps I can send her to the dog shelter/driving school for a couple of weeks.
Good to see this has made it to the BBC. My last post (the night this screened on TV here in NZ) has a few more links to what has been done, and I will be watching Live TV next Monday night to see if the dogs actually drive (around the race track) without any human help. If they do or don't this has still got the Auckland SPCA's and their work trying to get dogs rehomed into the news.
This is a longer piece than we got on our news. Jed has been trying to drive for years. And we don't even have a stick shift. Hope all those clever doggies found really good homes. Wonder how the road test contest came out.
Yes, I saw this report on the news and I'm impressed with what they have with these "smart" dogs.
ReplyDeleteMaybe my Brownie can be trained too!!
I saw this on the news! It's a pretty clever way to get attention for those dogs!
ReplyDeleteThis was on our local news last night. I took a look at our three to see who could start behind the wheel. Tucker was first to raise a paw....
ReplyDeleteThe only problem is that Monty puts the car radio on very loudly.....!!
ReplyDeleteDoes Monty come with the car???
ReplyDeleteGosh, I love this.
ReplyDeleteEdward driving the Fiat.
Yes, I can see that.

ReplyDeleteI also saw this on the news here--It really is funny, and amazing, and creative too!
ReplyDeleteI hope you've had an enjoyable trip!
