An advert in the local paper for a replica American firemans knife. It has a logo on the side " Fire Department ". Very realistic . Available in two colours - Salmon Pink or Red . Angus wonders how many American firemen carry Salmon Pink knives to work.

I'll let you know if I see one!
ReplyDeleteOne has the depressing thought that the pink knife might be intended for female firefighters. Bleurghhh!
ReplyDeleteWish we had some of that sunshine here.
Cheers, Gail.
Why do the manufacturers always think that women adore pink? I guess the firewomen love pink.
ReplyDeleteGlad that spring is on its way back to you.
Excuse me. I have a pink knife which I keep in my car. The vivid colour makes it easy to find when you don't quite remember where you sat it. Don't knock it until you've tried it, as the old saying goes.
ReplyDeleteNeither salmon pink or red Angus! EMT/Fireman (ret) says black matte only! Oh and the sparrows? I am told Mediterranean region for Europe, right? On this Pacific NW island though, birds seem to hang around due to mild temperatures including hummingbirds! Weather pattern changes...
ReplyDeleteWhile I absolutely LOVE the color pink, I am fairly certain that American firefighters carrying pink knives are few and far between.
ReplyDeleteWell as long as it has the logo, it HAS to be official!
ReplyDeleteWhatever color it is, if it's being used to save my life and not as a weapon, it's okay! :-)
ReplyDeleteWe'd expect fluro ourselves....so they could spot it if dropped in smoke. But that's just us. Kim (above) has the right idea.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Well, not all firemen are men, you know! ;) I hope Spring finds us both early! I'm tired of looking at dead grass!
